NO Stars! March 26, 2010 Jane Doe (Atlanta) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Very poor presentation and an even worse value! A cardboard box, only half full of semi melted candy, rattling around in a big box. "Strawberry Laces" were substitited for licorice, for some odd reason. I can buy licorice whips and laces at any grocery store! Yes, I did weigh it. "5 pounds of candy" weighed 4 pounds, including the box and the paper that filled the second half of the box. I received this as a gift and it breaks my heart that the giver paid $40 for it, not including shipping, visualizing how much I'd enjoy it. Sadly, the giver muct not have read the other reviews! You want candy from the past? Go to Vermont Country Store for better selection and much better value. I wouldn't pay $5.00 for this product!

Disappointed March 11, 2010 Beverly D. Winter (Stuarts Draft VA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Disappointed. It was cool to see the candy that was created inthe 1940's but the candy itself was kinda dryed up and no good. Was very disappointed in the quality.

poor value September 12, 2009 Lynne Ludwig (Oakdale, MN) 93 out of 96 found this review helpful
Just recieved box today. Poor value for the money! First they doubled the price with added shipping and handling costs. Ended up paying over $50 for about $10 worth of candy. Candy was in bad shape - much of it had melted in shipment which means it arrived as a sticky mess. Was going to give it as a gift - but I am reconsidering it as it does not look good. Big disappointment!
